Choosing your wax melts

Use the fragrance-family filters to explore fresh, floral, fruity, or woody scents. If you are buying a gift, start with the kinds of fragrance the recipient already enjoys. Check whether they have a suitable wax melt warmer, as melts need one to release their scent.
How to use wax melts
- Read the instructions supplied with your wax melt and warmer. Remove the melt's packaging and place the recommended portion in the warmer's dish. Do not overfill it or add water.
- Use a warmer designed for wax melts. For a tealight warmer, use the tealight type and size specified by its manufacturer. For an electric warmer, follow its operating instructions.
- Place the warmer on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains and other flammable materials, children, and pets. Never leave it unattended.
- Enjoy the fragrance as the wax melts. Limit each session to 4 hours or the manufacturer's shorter limit. Extinguish the tealight or switch off the warmer before leaving the room, and allow the wax and warmer to cool fully before handling.

How long do Henry & Co wax melts last?
Our individual Pick & Mix melts offer at least 8 hours of fragrance. Mini bars offer around 24 hours per complete bar, and large snap bars around 56 hours per complete bar. These are total fragrance times across separate uses, not instructions to heat continuously. Fragrance duration varies with the scent, warmer, and conditions of use.
Can I reuse a wax melt?
Yes. Let the wax cool and set between uses, then warm it again while it still releases fragrance. Unlike a candle, a wax melt leaves wax in the dish. Replace it when the scent has faded.
What are your wax melts made from?
Our individual Pick & Mix melts contain soy wax, mineral wax, and fragrance oil. Our mini and large snap bars are made with soy wax and fragrance oils. Check the individual product label for fragrance-specific warnings and allergen information.
Which wax melt warmer should I choose?
Choose a warmer specifically designed for wax melts, with a dish suitable for the recommended portion. Tealight warmers use a candle underneath the dish; electric warmers use an electric heat source. Follow the instructions for your particular model, and do not use a cracked or damaged warmer.
How do I change the fragrance and clean the dish?
Extinguish the tealight or switch off the warmer and let it cool completely. Follow the warmer manufacturer's instructions for removing the remaining wax and cleaning the dish before adding a different fragrance. Do not pour wax down the sink.
How should I store unused wax melts?
Keep them in their original packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and pets. Keep the label with the melts so you can refer to their instructions.
